The Highway 126: Fern Ridge Corridor Plan will evaluate and identify a range of alternatives to enhance the safety and function of Highway 126 between the cities of Veneta and Eugene. For the past year, The Oregon Department of Transportation has involved the general public, highway users, local city and county representatives, state and federal regulatory agencies, and other interested stakeholders in developing this plan.
The final step for local approval of the Highway 126 Fern Ridge Corridor Plan is a brief introduction to the plan at a work session on January 29th, followed by a public hearing on Tuesday, February 12 at 1:30 pm in Harris Hall, Lane County Public Service Building at 125 E. 8th Avenue in Eugene. The Board of Commissioners will meet to consider and vote on adopting the plan and forwarding it to the Oregon Transportation Commission for approval. The public is welcome to attend to listen to the Commissioners’ discussion, and there will be an opportunity for public comment.
